Replaces the former standard EN 471:2003 + A1:2007. It defines requirements for high visibility clothing. Hi-vis clothing needs to assure good + A1:2016 visibility of the person wearing it for all
lighting conditions: They have to be visible by daylight, in the headlight of vehicles in the dark or through machinery. The performance requirements concern the colour of the material, the minimum surface of the material, the retro-reflection and the placement on the garment.
